About Chrissi
It all started when…
I would attend a local rock and mineral show each year that was held not far from my childhood home. I would spend all day watching the vendors work with metal and stone, mesmerized by the beautiful gemstones that would line the tables. I became hooked on the process of turning bland rock into something very beautiful.

After college, I focused on a career in sales and marketing, and became a pharmaceutical rep. Not happy with the lack of creativity in my life, I started designing jewelry again. In 2006, I left the pharmaceutical industry, went to work with my husband, Brian in his family business and took a metalsmithing class at a local community college, and Chrissi Harmon Jewelry was born.
I have been a distinguished vendor for the AAPG Mid-Continent Regional Meetings and a repeat vendor for the Brush Creek Bazaar in Tulsa, Oklahoma. My work is now being collected and I will attend a few selective shows a year in the Tulsa, Oklahoma or surrounding areas in addition to selling online. I place a strong emphasis on giving back to the community and others through donations to charitable organizations or participation in events that support a charity.
In 1991, I won First Place in Fine Arts Crafts for the Chanute, Kansas Artist Alley Festival with a tigerseye and black onyx necklace I designed and made. After graduating high school, I attended the University of Tulsa, where I worked on a Marketing and Economics degree. At that time, jewelry was still my first love, but I took a hiatus while I focused on my degree and later, a career. During college, I spent a few summers in Boulder and Denver Colorado, absorbing the atmosphere and the rich artisan culture of the area. I was absolutely fascinated by the beautiful sterling silver and artisan jewelry and I feel that those early inspirations have enhanced my current designs and work.

Since 2006, I have been refining and honing my skills. I began work with a master goldsmith in 2009, that helped to not only improve my skills, but give me a new focus and quality that really makes my designs unique. In 2020, I completed my Applied Jeweler’s Professional degree from the Gemological Institute of America.

By being selective in what I work on, I'm able to focus all of my attention on making something very special. Jewelry design is not just a creative release but, comes from my heart and soul. All of my jewelry is hand fabricated and hand finished. I use sterling silver, 14kt or 18kt gold, Argentium Silver and genuine gemstones. I will sometimes incorporate unusual materials such as Roman Glass and fossils in my designs.
As you peruse the site, picking out your favorite designs, remember that each piece of jewelry starts with a vision and is made by my own hands with love and care. Each gemstone is carefully hand selected, a design is drawn and then implemented in my own studio. Each piece of jewelry is unique because it was made by hand, and not by a machine. When you purchase a piece of Chrissi Harmon Jewelry, you are purchasing a piece from an American artist, created just for you, with you in mind.
